Community-Led 💬 What's on the Minds of Early Adopters #21
Celebrating AI Pioneers, not one-size-fits all and the data (tech) stack
Welcome to Community-Led. Each week we connect founders to dozens of early adopters and technology executives in fast growing startups and Fortune 500 companies. This newsletter surfaces the most interesting insights and conversations across the thousands of members of the Decibel community. Let’s dive in!
We recognize that you, as early adopters, are on the front line of the opportunities (and pressures) that come from the daily(!) advancements in generative AI and LLMs. AI products are easy to demo but hard to deploy, so we created an event that will be the first to celebrate the technical leaders in our community who have successfully taken on this challenge!
We are hosting our first *AI Pioneers Summit* with Latent Space, the fastest growing community of AI engineers building applications enabled by LLMs. We have assembled a special group of 200+ builders including the founders of AutoGPT, Databricks, Elastic, Langchain, AutoGPT, and Llama Index and the fast moving AI product / engineering leaders within Fortune 500 companies using LLMs including Adobe, Cisco, Intuit, Salesforce, Uber, and Walmart.
The line up for the afternoon/evening of October 26th looks something like this…
3:00 PM: Doors Open for Coffee and Networking
3:45 - 3:55 PM: Welcome to the AI Pioneers Summit, hosted by Decibel and Latent Space
4:00 - 4:25 PM: Chains, Agents, and the Autonomous Enterprise
Harrison Chase, Founder and CEO, Langchain
Jim Fan, AI Scientist, Nvidia
Merwane Hamadi, Founding AI Engineer, AutoGPT
4:30 - 4:55 PM: How AI Works at Scale
Cheryl Ainoa, EVP Technology, Walmart
Clara Shih, CEO, Salesforce AI
Neha Batra, VP Engineering for CoPilot, GitHub
5:00 - 5:30 PM: Who Can Win the War for AI?
Fireside Chat with Ion Stoica, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder, Databricks (Co-Founder of Anyscale)
5:30 - 8:30 PM: Afterglow and Demos
🔥If you are an AI Pioneer, we would love to have you join us! More information here.

Black Hat 2023
We were excited to host our community of cybersecurity founders at our “Founders Helping Founders” event at Black Hat - seeing all 250+ of you in person was 🔥! A special thanks to our early adopter CISO community for joining the fun - we have *big* plans for RSA next year - please drop us a note if you want to join us.
An Inside Look at Innovation - Cube
Using LLMs to advance data experiences is critical for staying competitive—but very difficult to develop right, from scratch. As developers tinker with approaches to gain productivity and efficiency through GenAI adoption, there are inevitable setbacks including hallucinations from AI agents and chatbots. Enter Cube. By providing the semantic layer for data applications, Cube enables developers to contextualize common knowledge within uniquely collected data and defined data models to provide the right answers to users.
The semantic layer plays a key role in ensuring correctness and predictability when building text-to-sql LLM-based applications. And with integrations such as @LangChain and @DuckDB, Cube makes it really easy to get started with building high quality AI applications
With a Github Star Chart that looks like ^, crossing 16,000 last month, it is clear that more and more developers are finding Cube to be a critical component of the data stack. Give it a try for free here!
